Carmen C. (Diaz) Pinto (Sept. 1, 1950 - June 30, 2021) was the beloved wife of 47 years to John W. Pinto, Jr. She was the daughter of the late Joe and Josephine (Fina) Diaz of Langeloth, Pennsylvania, where she was born and raised. Carmen was a member of the National Honor Society and a proud graduate of Union High School in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania, in 1968. She was always complimentary of the teachers and the education she received at Union High School. Upon her graduation, she was immediately accepted in Duff’s Business School in ÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø. She was an extremely organized person with every function she performed. Prior to graduating from Duff’s Business School, she accepted a secretarial position at the law firm of Reed Smith Shaw & McClay (RSSM) in ÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø as an intern/trainee. Shortly after, recognizing her skills and personal attributes, RSSM immediately offered her a position in their secretarial pool. In quick succession, she was offered a full-time secretarial position for a partner in the firm.

Carmen was a truly kind and generous person and without question, was first and foremost dedicated to her family. Upon leaving the business world, she willingly accepted the challenges related to caring for her family’s and her extended family’s needs.

The Carmen C. (Diaz) Pinto Scholarship Fund, established in 2022 in Carmen’s name and memory, will help a deserving student in the pursuit of their education and future employment endeavors.
