About the 2024 Advancing Black Arts in ÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø grant: This $40,000 grant supports the year-long effort that culminates in an annual event which welcomes Black drinkers, brewers, vendors, crafters, artists, performers, and business owners to ÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø. Goals are to create safe spaces for all, including those underrepresented in the brewing industry as craft brew professionals and/or drinkers; provide representation in new spaces by promoting and supporting Black artists and business owners; connect Black artists and businesses with breweries for cross-promotion and collaboration; promote accessibility by hosting affordable events in minority neighborhoods; espouse fair pay and advocate for a more equitable and diverse workforce; increase tourism to Pennsylvania by building an event with international media coverage that attracts thousands and helps move Pennsylvania-branded beer across the country to new avenues of distribution.
