Twila and her husband, Donald Peters, died in 2005 and 2006 respectively. The couple was living in Ohio at the time of their deaths but were former residents of Cape Coral, Fla. and Wexford, Pa., where they raised their family.

Twila Peters was a loving mother, homemaker, and avid needle worker. She cofounded what was once "The Pine Needle" shop in Wexford. She was a member of the Wexford Garden Club and the Red Hat Society. Twila Peters spent many years as a volunteer at North Hills Passavant Hospital and was a member of St. Mark Church in Lancaster, Ohio. She enjoyed playing cards and spending time with friends and family.

Donald Peters was also involved in the community. While living in ÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø, he was chairman of several organizations including Pine Township Supervisors, ÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø Chamber of Commerce and the Construction Industry Advancement Program. Donald Peters was a trustee of La Roche College and a board chairman from 1983 to 1984. Peters also served on the Passavant Hospital Board of Directors, the Pennsylvania Registration Board for Professional Engineers and the Board of Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. In Cape Coral, Donald Peters was active at St. Andrews Church and Palmetto Pines Country Club as he worked on building expansions for both. His hobbies included fishing, golfing, hockey, stamp collecting and rooting for the ÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø Steelers.

In 1980, this couple created a fund at ÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø to give to organizations they both valued.
